Recently, we published a post here on how to install wordpress on your local host. Anybody that is new to WordPress usually asks this question “How do I put Post On different Pages in WordPress”because it seems like a herculean task.This feature is used for sites owners who do not want their blog posts to be on the same page as their homepage. In this post, I will show you how to put a post in different pages in WordPress in few steps.
The first step is to create a homepage and you can do that by following the steps below.
Login to your dashboard
Find and click on the Pages option on the left side of your dashboard.
Click on Add New to create a new page.
In the Add Title, add any title of your choice[mine is hello World] and click on publish.
If you do not want to create a new page, you can simply edit the Sample page by following the following steps:
Hover your cursor the page you wish to change the title and under it some options will appear, click on edit and change the title.
You will have to change your homepage settings to display a static page[This means that your homepage settings will not change]. By default when you install wordpress, your home page settings will be set to display your latest post(Any post you publish will be automatically uploaded to your homepage). To change your homepage settings, follow the steps below:
Login to your wordpress dashboard by using your domain name/wp-admin(e.g www.bbbn.com/wp-admin).
Find settings from the left hand side of your dashboard and under dashboard, find Reading and click on it.
Change the Your homepage displays settings to A static page.
Then select your homepage by by clicking on the drop down menu and select the page we created in the first step.
For post page select the page you want all your posts to appear if you are not having much menus on your site or else leave it as -Select-.
Once you are done, click on save changes in order to save the changes you just made
You can view the page you just created by clicking on the home icon at the top of your wordpress dashboard
